Gifted with artistic instinct and creative imagination, Sohini now is one of the successful performers of Indian Music She has a powerful & melodious voice, known for divine expressions, aesthetical movements. She adapted her voice to render, fluent KHEYALS and soulful BHAJANS, THUMRI, DADRA , SHYAMASANGEET, Raag Pradhan

Musical Performances

She is a regular artiste of All India Radio in Kheyal and Bhajan.
Her performance at Tara Music in Jalsaghar, Raag Ranjani and Bhajan were appreciated She has lent her melodious voice for various Telefilms & soaps on ETV bangla, namely Raj Laxmi-Srikanto.

In October 2004, she was selected by the ROTARY FOUNDATION OF ROTARY CLUB INTERNATIONAL, USA to represent INDIA & NEPAL, as CULTURAL AMBASSADOR in various parts of UNITED KINGDOM. It’s not only the performance and discourse of musical soiree but to interact with the august audience and enrich them with Indian music as well as have an in-depth knowledge of the music of the host countries. She performed Indian music in as many as 27 places in a months time which was highly appreciated by the audience.

She has performed throughout the length and breadth of the country in Classical Vocal specially in New Delhi & Mumbai.

She has participated in the prestigeous North American Banga Sanskriti Sammelan (NABC 2008) at Toronto, Canada as well as Banga Mela 2008 at Columbus Ohio, USA in July 2008.

She also has various press releases on performance all over India namely The Times of India, Ananda Bazaar, The Telegraph & The Statesman, Bartamaan and Aajkaal

Academically she is an honours graduate in commerce as well as a Chartered Accountant.
