Mala is a trained gazal singer
with a masters degree in Hindustani classical music from Delhi.
She sings Gazals professionally and performs regularly on AIR
and Doordarshan, Hyderabad.
Her
Music
Mala also performs regularly
in all major metro cities of India in traditional form of gazal
gayiki. CD's : Mala has produced professionally recorded digital
audio tracks of 8 gazals in 2 cd’s called “Tanha” and “saath –
saath".
The poetry is simple
and meaningful and written by famous poets of Hyderabad. The music
is soulful, melodious and to current taste of the masses following
modern compositions, thus bringing traditional singing to today's
audience.

major performances are as follows:
• Quli Qutub Shah Tombs, Hyderabad.
A gazal festival organized by the government of Andhra Pradesh Tourism
Department at the World Heritage Monuments in Hyderabad is attended by
India’s top most talents.
• Hyderabad Cultural Association, Houston, USA.
An association of 600 families of Hyderabad in Houston have been honoring
artiste for last 20 years with an award of “Cultural Contributor
Extraordinaire”.
I was the proud recipient of the award in
2000.
I later performed in Sugarland, Houston and
Portland in USA to a wonderful cross cultural audience.
• ‘E’ TV (Urdu channel) Mehfil Concerts.
• Live Performances at : (1) Indian School Of Business, Hyderabad.
(2) National Police Academy, Hyderabad. (3) Armed Forces Cultural events
in Hyderabad. • Umed Bhavan Palace, Jodhpur.

It
is my belief that traditional Indian music has such strong roots
that it can blossom differently with changing times and yet retain
it originality, hence immortality.
Music
Albums - Mala has produced
professionally recorded digital audio tracks of 8 gazals in 2
cd’s called “Tanha” and “saath – saath".
Mala
says, "I feel blessed that these cd’s were released on 11th.
Feb at Tirumala on the auspicious day of “Basant Panchami"
by His holiness the Shankaracharya of pushapagiri pitham shri
Vidya Nrasimha Bharati ji. They are now available at leading music
shops.
