Kavita who has been trained in Hindustani music
and classical music has a fresh voice which is uniquely different from
the various other voices dominating the industry. She has taken classical training under guidance
of Shri N.D. Sharma of Gwalior Gharana Bareilly , Vinod ji from
Ghandharva mahavidyalaya New delhi and Ustad Iqbal Ahmed Khan , Delhi
Gharana.
In her childhood, she started performing
at Khan-kahe niyazia Dargah in Bareilly and attended musical
performances. |

Her Music
Kavita is an approved All India Radio Artist since 1988.
Sufi-folk singer Kavita Seth recorded a
solo for the Mahesh Bhatt movie Gangster. Track No. 06 ( Mujhe Mat Roko)
is an emotional song in her unique voice, which is selected best
emotional song of the year 2006 and nominated for sensational singer
2006 by STARDUST AWARD . best singer award from O.P.Nayyar , music
director.

She has composed many songs on different
concepts and recently released "Sufiana" Album dedicated to Maulana Rumi
by Times Music.
Presently sang for FILM " ye hai india" of renowned Producer and
Director N. Chandra expected to be released soon and in few regional films
such as kabbddi ( a kannad film) at Bangalore to be released in the may 08.
Kavita's Sufi Band -
She has formed "karwaan Group" (sufi group of musicians on guitar, duff,
dholak, keyboard, violin, tabla, harmonium).

She has traveled through the entire length and
breadth of India, many times, enthralling the audience with her melodious
renditions of Sufi, Geet, Ghazal, and Folk. Besides, she has given live
performances in a number of locations such as London, Birmingham, Scotland,
Berlin, Oslo, Stockholm and San francisco.

Performed at Khazana (Festival of Ghazals
along with Pankaj Udhaas) at Oberoi Mumbai.

Performed at many sufi festivals such as "Jahan-e-Khusrau"
Sufi Geet conceived by "Muzaffar Ali".

Performed at International Sufi Year (Dance
& Music ) 2007 dedicated to Maulana Rumi at Mumbai, Delhi , Hyderabad,
Chandigarh and Kolkata and will be performing at Lucknow festival on 6th Dec
and at Bangalore on 25 Dec.

At Agra Festival, Chandni Chowk Utsav
Festival at Delhi, Sahitya Kala Parishad, Delhi Tourism and many more at
different cities like Chandigarh, Pune, Allahabad Guwhati.

Performed at Hyderabad for a Sufi Concert at
Chowmahlla Palace on 04 Jan 08 and performed many sufi concerts with unique
concept with a sufi dancer and irani musician at Lucknow Mahotsava on 6 th
Dec 07

Delhi on 15th sept and 8th sept at Yashwant Rao Chavan Centre.

Fresh Voice of The Year at the Sahara Sangeet Awards 2005. |
