STREET CONCERT Featuring MORNINGWOOD
July, 2008
L.E.S. LIVE! STREET
CONCERT Featuring MORNINGWOOD
Lower East Side, NY - July 1, 2008 - The Lower East Side?s Orchard
Street is known for its historical NY architecture, hip entrepreneurial
boutiques, contemporary art and emerging musical talent. And on Sunday, July
20th the Lower East Side Business Improvement District (LES BID) and Metro
NY are bringing Orchard Street between Rivington and Stanton to life with
the L.E.S. Live! Street Concert featuring NYC rock natives Morningwood!
Best known for their riff shredding, unhinged, larger-than-life
performances, Morningwood will be performing their wildly popular singles
Nth Degree and Jetsetter as well as New York Girls that was recently
featured on the Sex and the City Movie soundtrack. They will also be
unveiling new songs from their upcoming Sugarbaby EP due out this fall.
?The Lower East Side BID holds free events that touch every aspect of life
on the L.E.S., and emerging music is no exception. There is no doubt that
Morningwood is the perfect band for our first L.E.S. Live! Street Concert.
We just hope that attendees don?t take the band too seriously when they sing
Take Your Clothes Off!? says Robert Ragone, Executive Director of the LES
BID.
Opening for Morningwood is local power-trio sensation Ghost Ghost whose
indie sound frequently shakes up mainstay L.E.S. rock bars like Arlene?s
Grocery.
