Vocalist & Singer Mumbai - Keshav Prasad - Indian Idol 4 Participant

A Singer with Dedication, Devotion & talent.

I am a Bio-tech graduate from Shri Sathya Sai University. This in itself is a God gifted opportunity. It has given me the wonderful fortune to be in seva at the feet of Shri Satya Sai Baba and Divine service.

I learnt Hindustani classical music (Vocal), tabla and keyboard from the tender age of 10. Right through my schooling days I had an aptitude for music. In my school days I
have won many district level competitions.

Strengths in Music I have been fortunate to have a god gifted voice which has come to me genetically as my late father was a born singer himself and was fondly called “The Mohammed Rafi of South India”. I had the opportunity to learn Hindustani vocal music for 5 years under Sri. R. M Hegde and Sri Parameshwar Hedge.

It was while I studied at Sathya Sai University that I got to learn the art of devotional singing. As a result I was the lead singer in the Mandir at Baba’s Ashram.

Performances My knowledge about film music grew leaps and bounds as I had the opportunity to interact with many of the big names of Hindi film industry who gave concerts in front of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. To name a few Shankar Mahadeven, Kunal Ganjawal, Udit Narayan, Shiv Mani, Kailash Kher, Parveen Sultana etc…

After my graduation in 2007, I participated in Bangalore’s biggest singing talent hunt called “VOICE OF BANGALORE”. It was here that I was recognized by the famous music director of Kannada film industry, ‘Manomurthy ji’. Who gave me a number of opportunities to lend his voice to well known stars in this Kannada Industry.

I moved on to work with other music directors, my most recent number being ‘orella koogi’ from the movie ‘Haage Summane’ directed by “Manomurthy”. I have also given many stage shows with music directors like Guru Kiran.

In this journey of growth in the world of music, I got selected and participated in Indian idol 4 up to the GALA round. During this period I underwent a rigorous training in classical Hindustani music along with voice culture and have performed in many stage shows with crowds ranging from 5,000 to 1,00,000.

On Jan 1st 2009,I participated in the “Voice of Bangalore” season 2 and was declared the 1st runner up. My plans for the future is to delve further in Music and spread the message of love through my music to the whole world.
