Arindam Dasgupta
|
Arindam Dasgupta is a
promising, talented and reputed name in Hindustani classical music. He
is a hardworking vocalist who has already made music his life. Belonging
to a middle class family, he hails from a background which is rich in
music and devoted to classical music. His father Sri Satyabrata Dasgupta
is at ease with Sitar and
Tabla. Arindam's maternal uncle
late Sri Ranjit mukherjee was also a sitar player of Masid Khani Gharana. |

His Music
Since 1982, when Arindam was just 7 years old, had been touch with the
great hoary traditional
Classical Music of INDIA.
At that
tender age he started learning from his mother. After that, he was under
the guidance of Smt. Manashi Guhathakurata.
Presently he is in close
guidance of his guru Smt. Dipti Mukherjee, who herself is a disciple of
Late. Pt. Vinayak Rao Pattabardhana of Gwalior Gharana.
His specialization
In spite of being a student of Gwalior Gharana Arindam adds his
individual specialties in 'Taan' as a rare touch of his GAYAKI (style of
performing).
After 11 years of intense practice, Arindam's
maiden performance was at the age of 18 only. It was just the beginning as
he has been performing in several classical musical programmes in India and
abroad.

M.P, BIHAR, DELHI, MUMBAI, JHARKHAND and in BANGLADESH ETC.
Regular practice makes Arindam so perfect on
stage that almost all the news papers and magazines in vernacular (anada
bazaar patrika, pratidin gana shakti, ajjkal, saptahik bartaman) etc.
